To register click on Register at the top of the webpage.

Mods Framework click the Download button here http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=G ... _and_Files
And follow the instructions to make sure the framework is working the 2 mods it comes with should be removed after testing.

Ok a few more questions on this new setup. I've been set up for years and have forgotten how I got there LOL.
She doesn't have all the EP's just a few, and they were all bought and downloaded from Steam. So when she wants to play Sims, she goes through steam. My friend is on Windows 10 and I know nothing about Windows 10. So, my questions are:

1. Is there a way to get the game started, even through the launcher, without opening steam.
2. If she still wants to go through steam to start the game, is there any special rules to installing the mods (from here) or can they just be placed in the EA, Sims3 folder as usual.
3. Any other tips anyone has will be very helpful... we're starting from scratch here.

1 - You can start the game from the Launcher or the game executable itself without running the Steam client once it has been run for the first time to authenticate. The path to the executables should go something like Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. To start the game from there, use TS3w.exe, the one with the "w" since we are on Patch 1.67 with a Steam install; this file can be used to make a shortcut that then gets placed on the Desktop so that we don't have to go looking for it each time.

2 - The TS3 user game folder where mods and other player added content go is in Documents, same as with any other install, and from there the usual rules apply.

3 - Not really. Once you get used to where the install files are, which isn't someplace the player should be interacting with on a totally regular basis, the rest is the same as with other types of installs.
