Do bad/glitched genes pass on to the next generation?

I have a sim couple that had a child a couple of years ago, and the child had some kind of glitch, I don't remember exactly, but she stopped moving or something, and the family couldn't move to another household. I had to use Total Annihilation on the child. That fixed the problem.

Now years later I've been playing with that family again, and when they tried Martial Arts and the male sim got into the MA outfit he got a female one, and his face also got a female shape, and his arms became super thin. He looked horrible.

Is it possible that he was the one glitched from the beginning and his glitchy DNA was passed on to his child? I used Total Annihilation on him too, to be sure that the glitch doesn't spread.

I've never heard of sim corruption being spread quite that way. But in the case of the father, are you certain it wasn't bad CC on the MA outfit rather than anything internal about the sim that might have been causing the unwanted effects?

Not sure. He had CC hair and freckles. I changed the hair in Master Controller Stylist and that didn't help. I could change the outfit, but the female face stayed. And he had the same freckles for years and with all outfits with no problems.

Remove the corrupted outfit, using MC: click on sim>> MC>>Basic>>Remove outfit (you need the Cheats module). Then still do reset in all possible ways and recheck whether you have a strange CC. And you definitely didn't change the category of outfits in CAS in the MC settings?

@Sara_Darkees, thanks for the suggestion! I have used Total Annihilation on that sim, but he still exists in the older save.

I went to another save and changed a YA sim into the Martial Arts outfit with MC and he got the male one but with the naked outfit texture! Then I went into MC -> Stylist and he looked normal there. Then I made him an Adult in CAS and tried the MA outfit on and he looked normal. See pic.

The bad female outfit couldn't be found nowhere for YA nor A male sims. Only the first sim I mentioned has ever got it.

I have no idea what's going on here.

Maybe I should go back to the old save with the sim I later used TA on and use the Dresser mod to blacklist the female MA outfit if I can find it for that sim, but would it affect the female sims too? It's also weird that he got the female FACE and not just the body.

I would start hunting down the bad CC that is causing this instead.

I didn't find any bad CC in Dashboard, but I know that I have one or two bad female outfits that came with a set I installed with the Launcher. I shall see if I can find them there.

Dashboard can only really detect common errors in CC such as an adult outfit being tagged for toddlers or if the CC has empty package files (which can be caused by a bad download) and a couple of other things. But it can't detect if the CC is trying to reference things or do things it shouldn't. And I've seen before that the CC outfit/object itself is actually fine but something else is causing it break and in some cases as with CC that was made before Pets came out it the resources it's trying to access got updated but the outfit/object didn't to reflect the new changes cause at the time it seemed to work fine.
