Sorry I don't know if this is the correct forum to post but I can't find the answer anywhere. I'm scared to make a family and not be able to save it to bin because there's too many families there. I'm starting my save from scratch and making all my townies myself. So what's the capacity of families I can save in the library?

As many as you like I'd believe. I mean, keep in mind the game has to read all these when doing things like loading, opening the households bin and if you're using SP to import immigrants from the bin so don't put like 5,000 in there but you should be okay with reasonable use.

Just to give you an idea, I have 157 sims in my bin, that's the individual sim number, more than half that number are couples or families. If I just count individual boxes (as in one grouping) then I have about 65, or so. My games loaded just fine and played just fine on my older PC too. I also have nearly 50 or so homes and almost as many venues built and saved.

There are players whose game runs smoothly without errors and crashes under the most incredible circumstances. Just in case, move important families to another, more secure storage on your computer or somewhere else. Once, because of a mysterious incident, I lost everything that was in the documents, but thanks to the backups, it was not enough to destroy everything that I had built for so long.
