This may be a no brainer but I'm going to ask anyway

Hi Gang,
Been a couple or few weeks I think, I've been busy painting the inside of my house to "freshen it up" so I can hopefully get it on the market to sell it soon.
Anyway, I love all the mods and I use them a lot, but my granddaughter (age 11) likes to play SIMS 3 when she comes to visit and I would really like to not expose her to the "Adult Version" I have. Can I safely just remove the mods folder and hide it on my desktop so it's not actually in the game and then just drop it back where it belongs after she goes back home?
And if it can be done will it mess up "My" current adult version family? or would it be better for me to just leave mine sit and just start a new town and family until after my granddaughter goes back home?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
