Ok, I want to home school my children and teens, now I can't find the post on how to do it. I know it was under story progression, under careers, under school, I clicked on home school true, but i'm missing a step or something. I had it set up on my new computer (which is now in for repairs) and now I'm trying to set it back up on my old computer. But I can't find the old post from a couple of weeks ago and it's not coming up in search.

Would someone please help me?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

You need the Careers mod and the Careers Schools module.  To sign an active child or teen up for home schooling click on the computer>Enroll in School [then pick Home School from the list] or city hall>Enroll in Home Schooling.  You can also enroll sims via MC>Intermediate>Career>Choose School.

You shouldn't need to do anything in SP.  The SP Careers module (which is different from the NRaas Careers mod) has an Assign Home Schooling which, according to the documentation here:  "Whether to assign home-schooling to sims, when there is no school rabbithole in town.  Default: True."  You don't need to change this, and as far as I know don't need the module either.

If you are asking about how to automatically enroll sims into home school, that I don't know.  Never done that but it sounds like if you have SP and the SP Careers module AND remove the school rabbit hole that sims should be automatically enrolled in home school if there's a city hall rabbit hole in the world.

Lastly, home schooling doesn't work (for me at least) in Oasis Landing.  I don't know if it's because OL is a future world or if it's because Careers was never updated to work with that particular city hall rabbit hole.

Once enrolled, sims should get new homework assignments everyday at 10 am which can be turned into city hall, the school rabbit hole, or via any computer.

Thank you TreyNutz, yeah I forgot to add in the additons under Career, I hadn't realized I hadn't done it on my old computer, where I had done it on my new one. Chalk it up to old age and the fact I don't remember what all I had downloaded on my old computer vs the new one. Thank you again.

Cheers and Happy Holidays,
