Not sure if this is the right place to put this but here it is a anyway.... I would really love my sims to have birthdays with cake parties and guests..... BUT.... I don't want them to age up, I want my 5 year old sim to have a birthday and become 6, not 16!!! Is there a mod, a non age up cake or something out there anywhere? Or can maybe the great and wonderful Nraas make one for me please?? My sims are my family in real life....so aging is off! Please help someone, it's like I'm the only simmer on the planet that wants this!

Can't say for sure that you are the only simmer on the planet who wants this, that would cover quite a lot of territory. But it may not be feasible, I suspect that birthday cakes and the entire blowing out the candles with everyone screaming at them and twirling noisemakers procedure, culminating in the spin and age-up, are coming from the game core itself.

But it's really only the cake ceremony that is the issue. Guess I'm not "getting it," but why not have a party for the kid anyway, a House or Destination party not Birthday, skip the cake part, play games, and serve some other form of baked goods for a group dessert? The only thing that the official Birthday Party designation does is make everyone think it was an awful party if no one gets to actually age up before it's over. With the other party designations of course only you will know it's the sim's "birthday" because, in reality, it isn't if there is no age-up.
