I have a question about mermaids and the hydration stat. Is it normal that genies and witches cannot use their clean sim powers to hydrate a mermaid?

It seems very odd to me that not even the Motive Mobile from the reward store that revives all stats can touch the hydration stat. Only taking a shower or bath fixes it. Pools and the ocean take forever. The stat goes down so fast and the ways to fix it are way more limited than normal hygiene.

If it is normal... is there a mod way to fix this? Seems buggy to me even if it is as intended by the game developers. Especially the extremely cheaty Motive Mobile... the fact that does not work is a huge oversight or something.

Yeah, I really wish the spells worked. I wanted to use hybrid to be a sea witch, but I cannot use magic to hydrate her. Being a mermaid is just a burden because of the hydration problem. I was hoping one of the mods here could fix it a little bit by making it slower to dry out or something. If that is possible I cannot figure it out. Is it possible?

I hope someone decides to mod/fix the witches and genies so they can hydrate mermaids. I am surprised such a mod does not already exist.

If I recall correctly either Blue or Nella over at the asylum have mods for mermaid hydration. It had been a while.since my computer fried and haven't been able to play but I do remember having the mods because otherwise my merpeoples were always in the tub. I could be remembering wrong but I think it slowed the dehydration and added the pool, ocean and hottub for rehydration.

I forgot I had that mod installed. It's by bluegenjutsu. The mermaid hydration is a variation of her "Hygiene Gain & Temperature Loss For Ocean And Swimming Pool" tuning mods. That particular mod doesn't seem to slow dehydration (not that I could see). But it does add the pool and ocean (maybe hot tub?) for rehydration.
