Repeating Traveler Script Error

Post by theapoo » August 7th, 2017, 10:46 pm

Hello,

Just uploaded a script error that I get absolutely every single time I load up the game, without fail. I think it has happened about 12 times now. I'm not sure how to make it stop.

I'm a bit puzzled by a couple of things.

You have MC version 133. That is the fully released version. But you have MC Cheats, Integration, and Progression each ver 134. Those are the beta testing versions intended to go with MC base mod beta testing version 134a. The testing versions are set up to handle the new NRaas Chemistry mod, which is in very early alpha stages. Were you testing Chemistry and then stopped? Can't figure out otherwise how your MC versions got mismatched.

Or does what I have described not match the versions of MC and its add-on modules that you think you have in play?

On the actual error uploaded, yes that's Traveler. Could be wrong, but it looks like you have tried to do some sort of settings import and it's choking on various things. If that's not so, that is you haven't been trying to do any kind of import, how exactly did you get to where you are now in your game? Is this a new world, did you just travel to one, etc?

But let's see if unscrambling the MC versions fixes things first. I think you either need MC 134a base mod to go with those new modules or you need to stay on MC 133 base mod and have the older versions of the modules again.

Ah, you also have the beta testing version of Relativity, which is flawed.

Just a hunch, but I wonder if maybe you are using the NRaas Mod Updater program and have it set to pick up beta testing versions automagically or something?

Eh, do you have the custom education degree from here? It looks like something is clashing with the minisim fixes I made.

Hello....
@igazor: I actually have no idea why I have a version mismatch...thank you for letting me know! I think I will downgrade and use MC 133 for the base mod + modules. I'll also use the regular version of Relativity (and of Woohooer, too, because I think I am having an issue with the testing version of that mod. Will post details if if my theory is correct).

I haven't tried to import settings...the world is not new. It's a custom Sunset Valley world that I have been playing for a long time with few issues. According to the in-game clock, the world has been active for 13 and a half game weeks. As for traveling, I sent a couple Sims to Uni about a week and a half ago.

I do have the Nraas Mod Updater and it does update test versions as well. It sometimes doesn't pick up that there's a new version of some mod available, though. I think that could be why I have a version mismatch.

@ Chain: I did, but I recently removed Careers and that module in order to cut down on some mods I don't use very much. I do think the game gave a couple of University NPCs the custom Education degree. I had forgotten about that. Do I just use MC to change their degree?
