But I still have 45 tourists. Even though I have it set for 10 max and 100% go home. Is there something else I could do to lower the tourist numbers?
Try having Register disallow tourism entirely and keep the percent chance of going home at 100.
NRaas > Register > Tourists > Allow Tourists > False

If that doesn't reduce their numbers to 0 or something closer to it after a few sim days, see if you can reach these sims with NRaas > MC > Sim > Advanced > Reset Sim on City Hall. Or, if you can figure out who they are by way of other filters like Family Tree filtered to tourists, and you don't know or care about them, you could see if they can be reached with the Total Annihilation command also on Sim > Advanced on City Hall.

Oh, I did disallow tourism but that still kept it at 45. I guess I'll have to try the reset sim on them.
Don't really want to annihilate them---seems a bit harsh! :-o

Odd thing is most of them are sims from recent past neighborhoods, not the WA towns. And my active family sims are related or friends with most of them. But I've never invited them to Twinbrook. Seems like they show up and never leave. I have Hemlock's from Bridgeport, Jimmie's family. Bean's from Moonlight Falls, which are cousins. And even a past grandson from Sunset Valley. They are all listed as tourists plus a bunch of others as well. Van Gould's, Goodfellows, the list goes on.
Maybe I should invite them over and then ask them to leave! Maybe they actually leave town that way!

That's what tourists are really, uninvited mini-sim (not the full sim) representations of those in your connected worlds visiting yours and wandering around in it for what should be a few sim days. Total Annihilation across the board then is not right answer if you know who these sims are -- sorry! But maybe some combination of the MC > Resets and the MC > Go Home command will shake them loose from wherever they are getting stuck.

I'll give it a shot next time I'm in game. I've just had the heir children so I still have to get them all to YA before I move on to the next town. So @ 30 sims days to go in this one. Hopefully, I can go forward with fewer issues. Thanks for all your help.

About your question earlier about a fixed IP, ellacharmed at MTS fixed the routing and a lot of other problem in IP and loaded it (as we'll as most of the other EA worlds). Here I see the link for IP http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=514909 . If you don't want to try and make the fixes yourself (there are a lot), and want to be able to start the world from the town select, just download itthere are instructions on how to drop it in the EP's folder (just add .old to the original and drop the fixed one in, it replaces the EA one easy, but only works on games that haven't bee not in the original, if you have old games in IP I don't think those will load. I used all of her so to replace EA's and they work great.

I still have 42 tourists in Twinbrook! I was able to invite some to a party and then tell them to go home, so 3 less than before.
I have set tourists to false, set return home at 100%, and have 0 for number allowed in town.

I even went in and disallowed the 3 previous towns I have been in to get them sent home.
Or would that keep them there instead?

Oh, and I have a stuck aging consignment specialist. She 10+ days past aging up to adult.
I've tried reset sim and trigger age transition, but still nothing.
It's not been a huge issue so far, just annoying to keep getting the message.
I even tried inviting her to a party to try and cake her up.
But the first one she came to I already had 4 kids to age up and she left before I got to her.
The 2nd time, she didn't even show up. I just kept getting a message that she was the consignment specialist.
Is there something else I can do to get her to age up?
She's a friend of the family so I can't get rid of her!

On the tourists, if you can still get them to instantiate on-screen, try MC's Go Home command on them. You shouldn't have to invite all 42 of them over to your sim's house, but mabye clicking on a lot somewhere in town and then MC's Invite Over will bring them there?

On the age stuck consignment specialist, how about if you use MC to age them down instead, meaning reduce the number of days she has spent as a YA so that it's within range of the age stage again.

For the tourists that sounds like a plan!

You can age people down with MC? *headsmack*
Is there a setting for having service sims not age at all?

Is there a NRaas for dummies page?! Could I find basic stuff like that in the FAQ's? I was just getting familiar with the previous site and I seem to recall basic info about each mod. Some pages even went into great detail on how to do each step. Not that I understood some of it, but it was a place to start.

Sometimes I'm not even sure if I should be looking under MC or SP, or a different mod altogether, for what I am trying to set, fix, or change. Like, keeping romance and marriages between the same age groups. It took me a bit of research to figure out I needed to use the SP caste system for that!  I love all the different settings MC and SP have as it makes the game so much more customizable, but I can get so caught up in reading all the things you could do that I would find myself still at the site after several hours! And I wouldn't even have found the answer to what I was originally looking for!

I was having an issue in game yesterday with my public school being mobbed by kids and teens and I went into MC, found careers, and assigned all the teens to different community schools, art, science, culinary, etc. Assigned some of the children to home schooling and left the rest at the public school. It was a Friday in game, so I won't know if the settings are the best yet, but that's the beauty of NRaas, I can always tweak it some more! If I can figure out how to find the exact setting and sweet spot for how I play my game.

Thanks for all your advice and patience! I'm sure I'll be back with more questions.

The FAQ and Interactions page are in various states of being repaired here on the new site as many of them did not survive the transition well. They are all still available as they once existed on the old site through the Internet Wayback Machine. I'm going to link to an older archived version than seems necessary just to avoid the incessant "Wikispaces is Closing Down Soon!" messages that appear as of March 2018 and forward.
https://web.archive.org/web/20171230175 ... es.com:80/

MC = A player command center to issue one-time commands on sims, objects, lots, and the town. Go over there, become this, learn that, unlearn something else, have your age adjusted, have this trait or reward, be or not be in this particular relationship, check the status on something, etc. And then, of course, MC's CAS replacement. When not actually being instructed to run a command, MC sits in the background doing just about nothing except providing its menu commands for the player to select or ignore as they need to.

SP = A series of engines (managers) that run all of the time pushing sims around and providing guidelines for their ongoing behavior.

If you have a caste for Service Sims, then on City Hall or an in-game computer NRaas > SP > Caste Options > (whatever the caste is) > Death:Allow Aging > False. Role Sims are in a different class and would require a different or adjusted caste in order to be included in that. A cashier attendant of any kind would be a Role Sim, not a Service Sim.

Thanks for the link and explanation of MC and SP.

I was able to set the consignment specialist back to day 2 of her YA stage.
So that issue is resolved. If she gets stuck again, I'll just age her back down.

But while I was playing, I got the portrait panel issue where it gets stuck on one Sim no matter who you click on.
But no error messages for portrait panel or resetting a sim like I got last time.

I quit without saving and went back in and the portraits are actually switching to the correct sim.
But if it's the same as last time, I will play for a bit and the issue WILL occur again!
So I just quit again until I can figure out what I'm doing that's causing that or a work around or something.

I can't really move her out to another house permanently, like I did the last sim this happened to, as she's the wife of the heir.
But maybe moving her out and back in would fix her?
Is it best to use edit town for that or a MC version?
Other suggestions? Or is she just corrupted now and nothing will fix her?

My children age to teen in 1 day, so I have to stay in Twinbrook for another 14 in-game days.
And typically a week into their YA stage.

With all the issues I'm having in Twinbrook, which isn't really known for issues, I have to think it's something I've done or some item I have someplace I shouldn't have.
