Opinions are divided on the merging question. Core Mods (ErrorTrap) should never be merged. Some insist that Script Mods (most of the others) are fine to do so, but we've seen enough strangeness reported with those that I wouldn't recommend it. Regardless, merged mods are much more difficult to update as the merge would have to be redone each time and we do release new versions of the mods with varying degrees of frequency.
There isn't a whole lot of benefit to be had either, except for a tidier looking Mods\Packages folder. The mods aren't like CC items where the benefits of merging very large numbers of them are easier to see. If you save anything at all, it might be a fraction of a second on startup if even that.

If you want skill gains scaled to lifespans (so longer living sims means it takes more work to skill up across the board),
NRaas > Relativity > Apply Life Span Skill Factor > True
If in addition or instead of the above, you want to add a multiplier to further throttle skill gains,
NRaas > Relativity > Skill Gain Factor > (set by individual skill or all at once)
(1 means no change, greater than 1 means faster skill gains, less than 1 means slower skill gains; don't get too carried away as we've learned that values like 0.00001 don't work as expected, 0.5 is plenty to begin with but many find that the lifespan scaling is enough to contend with already and leave these all on 1 at least to start)

Are you talking about one sim giving a gift to another sim within your game as a friendly social interaction, or are you talking about giving an in-game gift to another player by way of their TS3 site user name?
On the Traveler error, we would need to have the script log(s) uploaded to us in their entirety so we can see what they say. But is the mod behaving itself other than this onetime error on new saves?

I have not asked you to upload a screenshot, please do not do that as we do not have the storage capacity to hold those here. Plus, I don't want to see the on-screen error. It gets cut off and is impossible to read that way. Nor did I ask you to create a wiki page. These have now been deleted.
Here again are the instructions for how to upload script error logs. We need the log files from your TS3 user game folder in Documents, not a picture of the on-screen error, and zipped together please.

On the gift giving getting stuck, I have no idea what would cause that. But what I would do is use DebugEnabler to Object Reset a sim who is stuck in such an interaction. It won't hurt them, this kind of reset just breaks into their action queue and clears it. It may cause the sims to jump to one side.
