Gender preference

Its been a while since I set the gender preference on all sims in town. I can't remember how to set the whole town for gender preference. Could someone please remind me of the path. Thanks :)

Hi littlelambsy!

It's on City Hall/Any Computer > NRaas > Master Controller > Town > Randomize Undecided Gender Preference

See here: Randomize Undecided Gender Preference

At least, I think that's what you meant. :-)

Another way I like to do it is click on city hall or any comp, nraas/story progression/general options/options: flirt/chance of gay 0 and chance of bisexual 0 before I start any play session.

The two methods used independently of each other do not accomplish exactly the same things.

The MC way will actually give an orientation, a random one, to sims who are still at that moment Undecided. It by itself does not promote or prevent sims from being attracted to the same or both genders, but instead it speeds up the process so that Undecided sims do not need to rely on their first few actual social and flirty interactions to form their gender preferences.

The SP way when both chances are set to 0 prevents SP from assigning a same or both gender preference specifically for a teen who is still Undecided (as all sims are when they reach that age stage).

I realize that the goal for some players is to not have any same- or both-gender attraction in their games. Afraid that puts me outside of my comfort zone so I will now step back and recuse myself from further commentary. :)

Thanks, my friend didn't want any same gender relationships. I haven't played sims for sometime now.... my attention has been captured by "Surviving Mars", but I do still check in here all the time to see what I'm missing LOL. And of course, to see if I can offer any help where needed.

I hadn't heard about this but it looks fun. Clearly a Cities Skylines port with extra mechanics. I'm fine with that. I really enjoyed Cities Skylines. Paradox is making the games EA should be.

Its excellent. I've been watching a whole series, and following along with Skye Storm's videos He has some great ways of playing this new game. Paradox is giving EA competition. I haven't seen Cities Skylines but will check it out. Thanks Chain :)
