Cows!

Post by tamalinn » August 2nd, 2019, 5:09 pm

Since the first time I tried playing with the cows, they haven't worked. I direct a sim to do literally anything with the cows, and as soon as it's time for that interaction, the sim stops whatever they were doing and does nothing. The action just hangs, and I can't even cancel it. I wind up needing to reset my sim. I'm sure I must have a mod conflict. The thing is that I have a TON of mods. Does anyone know which type of mod could be causing an error like this? Or even better, do you happen to already know which mods may conflict with the cows? Or even best, has this happened to you, and you know which mod caused it?

Probably the first step, barring any input from others who may have experienced this, is to try a test run on a new world with only NRaas mods in play and caches cleared to see if the cow content works for you at all. Otherwise you may be chasing mods around where the issue could instead be with the content or your ccmerged file.

Speaking of which though, does your other premium store content work as it should?

All of the rest of my premium content works fine, and the cows work with just the NRaas mods. But I have to say that I'm disappointed by the cow tip interaction. I really hoped the sim would offer the cow a few bucks.

Although the area I grew up in was more rural than truly suburban as it claimed to be, we didn't have a lot of dairy farms around. I had to rely on friends I later made from other places, who taught me that cow tipping is customarily 15% for good service, maybe more if exceptional.

Sounds like it's time for the 50/50 dance with NRaas-only as the starting point then.
