Game generates hideous deformed sims.

Post by Gamesquid17 » March 27th, 2019, 7:20 am

I had NRaas set so that it would generate unique looking sims and although it had stopped the sims from having the same facial features it generated hideous abominations such as this firefighter. ImageMy settings are as followed Facial Blend Mutation: Random Sim -1.0 : 1.0 and Facial Blend Mutation: Unset Blends -1.0 : 1.0 with chance of bin offsprings being at 50 and random at 10 on Options:Lots. For Options: Sims it's the same facial settings except chance of bin offspring is set to 100 and random at 0.

I'm so sorry, I don't know how to help you, but I rolled out laughing under the table. I feel bad... Why is this so funny?! Here should be the caption: "My face when I find new problem in The Sims". By the way, once I had a slider that worked correctly on the old version of the game, and then, after the update, it began to cripple the characters. I aligned the values it was responsible for to zero and deleted it.

Erm, I mean, do you have any custom sliders?

What's funny is that my game crashed shortly after I had taken that screenshot. I guess my game couldn't handle his ugliness. I have quite a bit of sliders installed so I could make my sims look more unique and distinct.

That's what I'm trying to tell you. Your sliders helped to create of unique and distinct freak. Be careful with them, I have already faced a similar problem, but I was lucky because I had two or three of them and that's why the problem was solved quickly. I'd either revise that there is in game (eventually removing what could have caused such a trouble), or forbid SP to use these genetic... sophistications.

That certainly seems to be what the issue is since the sim's head is so wide and I had a slider installed that allows you adjust their head width and NRaas seems to had generated one with the value turned up high but I had yet to find a fix to it besides removing the sliders which I really don't want to do otherwise I would start getting that pudding face effect.

Maybe it would help if he smiled. That sim is not so bad...minus the pointy ears, I don't think he looks too deformed. All sims can't be supermodels. He's not hideous..he is just unique. :) I'll keep this thread in mind for when I download any sliders though.

Are you serious? Ears are not trouble, the trouble is that his head looks like it's been hit by a brick. Just in case I say that I have a problem caused by whiterider's slider.

I don't think I have a problem with the brickface effect, it's possible though that I am not seeing this sim's head from enough different angles. What would bother me more is that the size/shape of his nose and his mouth height do not seem to fit his head, or rather they would if he were a muppet rather than a humanoid. And this is coming from someone who likes unusually shaped noses and has one himself.

May I suggest softening up the mutation ranges a bit (or a lot, actually)? Ranges of -1.0:+1.0 with many of these custom sliders in play seem awfully extreme. I use some unusual sliders myself, quite a few, for which I really don't want all sims in town to have non-zero values especially ones that allow for uneven body parts (left side vs. right side). But at very low levels, even combinations of the more bizarre ones can provide some subtle but interesting variation -- less can be more, or something like that. :)

Alright I'll try that once I load up the game again. I'm playing Sims 4 right now but i'm starting to get tired of the simulation lag that the devs still hadn't fixed yet from what I read and the glitches such as sims teleporting from one place to another and the overall limitations of the game. Also there's stuff that annoy me such as ghosts texting and calling sims while they're supposed to be dead. I'm mainly just playing because it loads fast, runs smoothly and that my sister brought it for me. I'll report back once I try that out.
