Hello! i recently downloaded the Business as Unusual oven from the EA Store and wanted the mod to go along with it. Except when I try to use the oven, it does not work and I do not get the option to choose the mod oven over the original. only the original shows up. my sims cannot order food, do a shift and a lot of the interactions dont show up as text in the blue bubbles, only just blank bubbles. How can i fix this?

HI there. Do the oven and the content work without the mod in place? If you didn't check that before adding in the mod, remove it, clear (delete) the scriptCache.package file from the top level of your TS3 user game folder in Documents, and give the unmodded version another try.

If it doesn't or never worked unmodded, perhaps remove it by way of the Launcher and try installing it again from a fresh EA Store download. If it's still not working, you might be having a problem with your Store Premium Content in general -- the ccmerged.package file in DCBackup might need to be rebuilt or replaced with one that is known to work, this is a very common issue many players face. It's easy to replace it if you use Nonamena's that she helpfully provides here, though.

And if that still doesn't fix things, leave Nona's version of the ccmerged file in place but also put a copy of it into Mods\Overrides. This helps resolve an also common timing issue on startup where things try to load in the "wrong" order.

Once you have confirmed that it's all working the way EA intended, then put the mod back in, clear the scriptCache file, and give it another try.

I agree with igazor's advice about seeing if it works without mods first. Recently, for some reason my sims couldn't use the pizza oven anymore, so I used Nona's ccmerged file, and then it was usable again. Good luck!

Once you have verified the store oven bistro works and put Ani’s mod back in make sure you are using her oven, it is a clone of the game one and if I remember correctly is right next to the store version and be sure to place the modded menus, not the store version. I have mismatched them once or twice, or placed the wrong one accidentally.
