Error Revisited
My game is doing that annoying crap where upon queuing some interactions the Sim goes to the object then stands there indefinately so I have to reset them. Any ideas why this is happening?

I suppose this is a well known issue for sims 3, called stands idle? (and I read that also sims 4 have it lol). I don't think this is mod related.
I read that maybe you can fix that by switching to world builder mode and back again.

I will have that a try, but that seems tedious to do every time. If it is the only way though it cannot be helped.

maybe you can try this option in Overwatch, if you have set it false?
Report On First Reset Check
Whether to display a notice when a sim is located that may require a reset during "Reset Check"
The sim is not reset until the second time the "Reset Check" is run Default: True
So you can go to the sim and see if there is an object to reset (sometimes its a routing thing)
And instead of resetting the sim, reset the object with Debugenabler or reset all objects for the town via MC - town - Object Reset (instead of Reset Everything, where inactive sim inventory may be moved to their family inventory, what they cannot use - can be sold via MC).
With Retuner under xml basic you can lower the stand and wait time in general, default is 5 sim minutes
Sims3.Gameplay.Actors.SimRoutingComponent,Sims3GameplaySystems
- kDefaultStandAndWaitDuration
I found this maybe can be lowered too?
Sims3.Gameplay.ActorSystems.InteractionQueue,Sims3GameplaySystems
- kMaxMinutesRemainingNotToAutosolve
<Value>15</Value>

And I found this answer in a steam forum, it may also works on disc installations too:
The free will can be broken, then
- go to options setting and on the freewill part. click restore defaults and set your options again.
