How to restrict certain clothes from appearing on random Sims?

Post by SkyDome007 » March 2nd, 2018, 9:54 am

So I'd like to stop my Sims from wearing some CCs and all store outfits and into the future and season clothes. How do I do that? Can it be done with an Nraas mod or do I need some other mod?

I believe you can use Dresser and create a blacklist.

Hi SkyDome007 - in addition with Dresser as Echoweaver posted if you are on patch 1.67 Kuree's Easy CASP Editor is an easier method to blacklist for most content.

Oh thank you brappl and Echoweaver. I haven't used Dresser yet. Last time I used it went around randomly changing everyone's clothes. How do I stop Dresser from doing that and how to create a blacklist in dresser. I'm checking the page but am a bit overwhelmed at the sheer amount of interactions.

I'll check out Kuree's mod too.

@SkyDome007: Take a look at the Blacklisting. :-)

Oh thank you Sarah_Sims that's awesome. It's a very helpful FAQ. Ok I have another question what if I blacklisted a CC and later uninstalled it but forget to remove it from the blacklist, will that cause issues? Also are there any ready made blacklists for Dresser(that's not illegal to ask is it)? Thanks again for the help Sarah. It'll make my game better :)

I never find it necessary to blacklist custom content as the files can be edited directly. Package files can be opened in S3PE, where you can change the CASP resource and sims3packs can be converted to package files first (using Delphy's Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter) and then edited.

There is one ready-made blacklist I know of, right here at NRaas: Erbkaiser Invalid Parts. If you read that page, it covers what will happen if you have blacklisted an item that's no longer in your game. :-)
