Chatterbox Is there a way I can turn off just one part of story progression while letting the rest do it's thing?

The mod that's bigger than 80's hair. We promise to help tame the beast.

One of my problems that I have is that I have to keep story progression completely turned off, until I finally get a new sim settled. This including their relationship, because if I don't, Story Progression gets everyone (that my sim is interested in) involved with another before they have a chance.

So I was wondering if there is a way to just turn off relationship. Where the game pushes sims to get involved with each other, till I'm ready for the rest of the town to do what ever in their relationship, while letting story progression progress in all other aspect of a sim's life?

I'd love to see every one go to their jobs of choice, getting settled in every thing but getting involved, at least until I'm ready for them to do what ever.

On City Hall or an in-game computer, NRaas > Town Options > Romance:Allow > False.

Or you could do the same with a subset of the town by Sim, Household, or Caste.

You're welcome, except it would help if you specify the mod in that sequence. (oops, sorry)
NRaas > SP > Town Options > Romance:Allow > False :)

I have lowered the speed of my SP events as well. I think that the default speed, at least in my town, leads romances to develop too fast.

I've got it set up so sims can't be pushed to flirt and aren't even allowed to flirt with anybody until they've gotten settled into the town and made enough good friends first. They can only flirt with close friends anyways in my game with my settings.I block romances for newcomers if they're not already married and aren't already in a relationship.

How do you configure that? That setup shows a far more nuanced understanding of the SP settings than I have!

I've got my settings for my NRaas Mods exported and can find a copy of that export file though I'd have to include a list of the NRaas Mods I've got installed.
