Script Error Uploaded Tagger

Post by brappl » December 31st, 2015, 7:54 pm

I am not having problems with the game but Tagger is spitting out a lot of Error Reports referencing the Deer and Raccoon. I've just uploaded a sample. Could someone tell me why?

It's choking on the Get Shade Color portion of the tag for those animals. No idea if this is known issue until now, but I can try such a setting next time I'm in game to see if I get the same results. Currently I have most of the tag shading options off as I haven't figured out which way I want to go with those.

Are you on the latest testing version 3c just released last week?

Aw thanks igazor...I wasn't expecting an answer so soon .. I know we are short handed ;) I am using the testing version. Could it be because I changed the Color Hex ?
There was an issue with color in previous versions. I think I've got those posted in here. What is happening now is the Color Hex I choose remains in the window but the tags still are not reflecting the color.
I'll try removing the color choice I choose for the raccoons and deer and see if that will stop the script errors.
Thanks again, and this can wait.

You are too funny igazor. lol ...
Here is what I did:
Reset Tagger values to default saved and quit the game
Upon reload and letting the game run for a bit no Tagger Script Errors.
I added my original settings back in except for Colors and still okay.

Ah, there we go then. This must be an impact of one of the fixes from version 3b to the newer 3c.

And drats, responding too quickly again. Just can't seem to help it at times...

Right .. as long as I'm not adding different colors no error reports. The colors are something Chain is/was aware of and I think it was his intention to have a fix for that in this latest update. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the deer and raccoon sim types. I'll try some other sim types and see what Tagger does.
I absolutely love this mod. How did we survive without it in the past :)
Thanks for looking at this igazor. I'll do a little more testing with the colors and will update what I find in here.

Okay, I changed the hex code on deer but not raccoons and immediately got the same Tagger error you did on both deer and raccoons.

Then I changed NRaas > Tagger > Colorize > Sims > By Type from False to True and got 50 more of the same shading errors on all different kinds of sims. I hastily switched that one off again and they stopped.

Any help or are these things we already knew?

It's always good to have somebody who knows what they are doing confirm a reported issue. Prior to V3c you could change the colors but they had to be reset every time you loaded a game. So it is a bit different this time around. I have not yet tried changing the tag colors for regular sims. It could just be the wild animals that are impacted as deer and raccoons and even though they are in the Service Pool they are controlled by alarms since they don't have a "role object"...I might be off base on that but just a thought.
