Script Error Uploaded

Post by brappl » July 26th, 2017, 11:04 am

I just installed Monte Vista. When saving everything seemed fine and then "The Sims 3 Stopped Working" message popped up and I had to close the program.

MC threw a doosey of a script error and I can not figure it out. Help please :) and thank you.

Morning brappl,

Might be calling this wrong, but it looks like you had imported existing MC settings into a new game/world and it's balking on filters -- could be due to a mismatch in the version of MC that had been used to export and the presumably Chemistry-updated 134a beta testing one in place now? Of course Chain would have to confirm that theory, but I think we're supposed to delete our older filters rather than trying to preserve them with this version for now.

Good Morning to you igazor :) I think you nailed it.
I had just imported my mod settings. I imported MC using the MC Import option. And, yes I am still seeing the additional scrip for Chemistry but it's the same as the original error you guys looked at a few days ago.
I loaded MV again after I posted the script and everything is working fine and I was able to save without any problems.

Oh, one other thing to mention. I removed and updated older settings after installing all the Testing Updates and Chemistry so that is what I was using in MV.

Thank you igazor.

The filter system doesn't support the import/export system and it looks like the chemistry changes have made it worse. Unfortunately I've been unable to resolve this. The best thing I can recommend is not exporting MasterController settings with any settings exports to avoid the issue.

Thank you Chain. I did export MC by itself but did not use Overwatch, rather used MC Export feature in MC. For the other Mods I also export most of them separately via Overwatch. It takes a little more time but my experience initialing group settings exports works better if I export/import individually. Some mods just don't have all of the settings being exported and imported. In any event, I'm all set now and thank you again.
