Every day bills

Post by cologne95 » September 26th, 2019, 1:27 pm

Good evening.
My problem is the Story Prigression (Without the Mod Tested) which lets the bill come every day. 400 Simoleons daily. Why is that. I do not want to delete the mod

Hi there. I think we might need some clarification on this question.

You have SP in place and in charge of progression, and I assume also the SP Money add-on module because that is where the controls and options for money-related actions come from. And your active household is receiving a bill in the mail every day for which they need to write a check for §400? Or is it that they have §400 deducted from their household total every day with no reason given?

The frequency of the regular property tax (and other) bills that arrive by mail can be set with, on City Hall or an in-game computer, NRaas > SP > General Options > Options: Money > Options: Debt and Taxes > Tax Days, by default it's one or maybe two days per week.

For automatic deductions of such an even amount daily without bills appearing, I would suggest running an Accounting Report on an affected household to see where their money is going. On the household lot tag or the lot itself, NRaas > SP > Household Options > Accounting. If there is too much older data showing up for that report to be useful, then you could clear it out with Clear Accounting on the same menu level and check again after such a §400 charge happens to see which category it falls into, Could be daily fees, private school fees, child support, or a bunch of other things.

Back on General Options where we were before, if you have Automated Active Billing set to True then sims never have to write checks for the bills at the mailbox and all tax bills are automatically debited like the other fees are. But then it becomes difficult to see right away which deductions from the household balance are happening and when without frequently running Accounting Reports until such questions are answered.
