Romantic interactions

Post by HedgehogHale » May 27th, 2019, 12:49 pm

Hi there

I have two young adults who are married, have a good relationship and live together but the only romantic interaction available to them is ‘take romantic photo together’. I haven’t checked if the problem is across the whole neighbourhood or just this couple. Can anyone explain what the problem might be and how to fix it? For what it’s worth, as well as story Progression I also have woohooer, master controller and careers installed but the problem seems to have developed since installing story Progression. Also settings wise, I don’t want my sims to be able to start their own relationships and I think I’ve set the mod up to prevent that. I don’t know if that’s maybe having an impact.

Thanks!

Romantic interactions

The SP setting to prevent the mod from pushing sims to form, move forward, or break up with partners when they are not being actively controlled by the player is Romance: Allow > False. That doesn't prevent already partnered sims from flirting and woohooing with their partner, just from changing their partnership status.

With both SP and Woohooer in play, the two mods are by default linked together. That means we must have explicit caste settings on Flirts and Romance on the age castes to allow the activity we want. Many players find this restriction too cumbersome to work with and for some of us it often doesn't work correctly anyway. To break the link between the two mods, NRaas > Woohooer > General > Link to Story Progression > False. I've been playing that way with the link broken for years and it's been fine.
