It is but it should be before any Sim in the town joins the career.

Ah! Okay, that makes sense. Thank you! :-)

After the first set of scripterrors, I changed the last one to 14 but it didn't make any difference. When I set them all back to default values, the scripterrors stopped. I'm also puzzled how LBillusion solved the problem by altering the elder caste.

I'll play around with it some more to see if this really solved the issue. My thinking was that Story Progression wasn't pushing her to go to work and therefore couldn't calculate her work performance. Also, I actually used many of Sarah_Sims settings to make my sims lifespan longer and stop some of their autonomous actions so it makes sense we would have the same error. ;) I thought I didn't change that setting for the business career because I didn't quite understand it, but I must have. I've been playing with her as my active family and have other sims in this career with no error. After their snowflake day party, I'll switch back to another household and see if it's truly fixed. I think I played through two sims days with no error though it's been at least one sim day though. This could have just happened to be an off day for her though.
EDIT: @Chain_Reaction: So we should be able to make everyone leave this career, change the settings and then give them their job back with no issues?

Yes that should work fine.
