Two questions, one about Curfew and one about teen jobs.

Post by Animexlife » November 30th, 2018, 6:48 pm

I'd like to set my curfew for about 10 PM start and 4 AM end. I am tired of seeing kids out wandering the town at 3 am. Any idea what to put in the box? I put 10 and 4 but that didn't work, they're all kindsa funny now, wanting to go home when they're at school in the morning. Is it military time? I'm confused.

Second, I hate non active teen sims getting part time jobs, It leaves no time for parties, dances, hanging out at community lots. Any way to disable this other than clicking each teen sim I see and disabling find career?

1 - Military time. What you have done is set the curfew to Start at 10 am and End at 4 am. You want 22 for the Start time and 4 for the End time.

2 - NRaas > SP > General Options > Options:Careers > Force Teen Jobs > False (but it's already False by default)
This should stop SP itself from "forcing" part time jobs on ALL teens. But the game itself will still give many of these sims jobs according to their traits.

Then we have
NRaas > SP > Caste Options > Teenagers > Allow Find Job: False
Still might not prevent the game itself from shoving inactive teens into jobs as this setting is still what SP is allowed to do with them.

To get more forceful about it, you could use the Caste Options to set Career:Disallow on teens and select all of the part time jobs. Or you could just leave it at Allow Find Job: False but use MasterController to give all of the teens in town the Careers mod Unemployed placeholder career (no work site, hours, pay, or advancement) and hopefully the game should leave them alone. The downside here is that when the teens age up to YA they will keep the Unemployed placeholder job (I think) and you may have to use MC to remove it for them.

Thanks that was helpful, I turned the curfew settings to that and it worked, I know because my family of 5 went camping and they where prompted to go home, adults too. I turned off their (my family) curfew enforce by clicking on Sim>SP>Sim Options>Curfew Enforce. Today I will go see if I can turn off the curfew enforce on young adults/adults/elders by their castes. Thanks again, that helped a lot.

Curfews are really only intended to work on teens and children. It's unusual if your settings seem to be affecting YAs and older. The GoHere mod has a couple of options that can help prevent sims from being pushed to go home from community lots when this is not what you want to have happen, especially on your actively being played household. Camping can be tricky though if the entire family keeps getting pushed to go home.

Yeah it was for a few minutes, then I thought I would try turning off curfew enforce on each of them by clicking on them and it worked. Don't want the curfew to ruin jobs for adults and such that work at night, when I get on later I'll check to turn it off by caste and see if it works.
