Disable Curfew?

Post by PetaLT » April 16th, 2015, 5:31 pm

Hi, as the header says, I would like to disable Curfew. I have done some digging around both on here and on google but couldn't find how to do it, i found some state SP>sim>curfew (option not coming up for me).

I have StoryProgression, amongst others, but under the interactions listed here it has curfew listed and doesn't say an additional mod is required so I assume it is SP, but, I cannot find the option in game.
Do I need a different mod? or an add on? or am I missing it?

ps. You helped me a great deal a couple of months ago with sp and mc and now have my town(s) how I want them. I am trying a teen runaway but unless i give her the rebellious trait it's really frustrating to be halled of when your not causing any trouble.

Thanks

Peta

Hi PetaLT,

No wonder you couldn't find it SP>Sim>Curfew is a non existing pie tree :P.

Try the following:

CityHall> NRaas> SP> Town Options> Curfew......> ; you are able to set it for all the Sims in your Town

CityHall> NRaas> SP> Caste Options> [CASTE NAME]> Curfew ..... ; you are able to set it for a specific Caste (gender/age/subset)

Click on Household Maptag> NRaas> SP> Household Options> Curfew ..... ; you are able to set it for Sims living under the same roof

Click on Sim> NRaas> SP> Sim Options> Curfew ....... ; you are able to set it for a specific Sim only

I don't think it needs an additional module and should be seen with just the base mod of NRaas StoryProgression installed.

Although you are able to control your inactives and actives with on what time you want them at home, or even disable the times by entering Curfew Begin> 0 and Curfew End> 0 on for example the Teenagers Caste. Teens are still under EA's rule that they need to be home around 10pm/11pm, if they are seen/caught walking about after that hour they will still be escorted to their homes by cops.

I am unsure if there is tuning to disable the cop scenario for that or if its even possible. Hopefully someone else will tag along and might have additional info on this.

Grts.

On City Hall or an in-game computer, there's also
NRaas > SP > General Options> Options:Grads/Proms/Curfew > Curfew Based on Workdays
NRaas > SP > General Options> Options:Grads/Proms/Curfew > Curfew Enforcement Days
(both of the above require the SP Extra optional add-on module)

But I usually set the start and end times to 0 and set Force to False as J4Ks suggested, either at the Town level or some subset of it (Caste, Household, Sim).

No wonder I couldn't find it then :p if that doesn't exist :)

OK then I have a problem... as i have tried all that you (J4Ks) suggested and there is no Curfew option coming up on any of them. I don't have SP Extra. so do I need that for Curfew to come up as an option on these also or just for igazor's suggestions above?
If that's the case then I will download the SPExtra.

Thanks

The options J4Ks mentioned should show up on Town, Caste, Household, and Sim without any further add-ons needed. However, they might not show if you currently do not have SP progression enabled at all.
On City Hall,
NRaas > SP > General Options > Enable Progression (is this set to True?)

Just checked the SP Revisions notes and it seems you will need SP Extra for it to show up as of SP v231 and higher, since the old model didn't work as advertised. (Still unsure if they still needs to be at home around 10/11pm though as I still get the message that they need to home b4 10pm after prom has ended)

Guess the interaction page needs some updating.

Error on V231....... should be V232 says curfew has been moved to SP Extra. Any one up for a test, before I do some editing on the interaction page. Probably tomorrow though.

Yes sp is enabled, it's always the first thing I do when starting a new game, but I just checked anway to be sure.

So I'll download SPExtra then. I'll get that sorted. It's not me being blind :p

Thanks again :)

That makes three of us :)

You're right, the revisions notes don't match the overall documentation. It looks like Mr. T. may have done a lot of rework on the entire curfew system back then to move it to SP Extra but never updated the master interaction page. I'll have to try loading up a game without Extra (in a few hours) and see if I get the same lack of options as PetaLT is reporting unless someone else beats me to it.
