"Array Index Is Out Of Range" Error

Post by Sarah_Sims » August 2nd, 2018, 6:36 pm

I've been getting this error over and over again in a new world I've recently started playing. No idea what it means but I tracked the sim (Kenan Aydogdu) down and reset him - didn't help. Then I changed his career outfit - still didn't help. Anything else I can do? Thanks! :-)

This sim is in the Journalism career and SP is having an impossible time calculating one of its metrics, "Stories and Reviews." Unfortunately this is a career I've not played through enough to know if that's the name of one of the metrics that shows on the sim's career panel or what one is supposed to do about it.

This mod you have though, SimsMxCareerMetrics. Is it the original version by SimsMX at Simlogical or the updated one by kidhedera at MTS? Don't know if it's responsible either way, but it would be one of the first things I would suspect.

Probably not related but uhm...

Wow Sarah, that's a pretty long game session (in real time) you have going there! :)

Did you just recently install a tuning mod or alter in Retuner a mod that changes the number of days stories written are remembered? Because something is changing that value from what the career was initialized with and it's breaking it.

@igazor: LOL! Well.....you know I'm addicted to Sims 3 so 24-hour gaming sessions are quite normal for me! ;-)

Haha! Just kidding! The real explanation is, I leave my computer on 24/7, with the game loaded and paused, so it's always ready and waiting for me whenever I have the time to play during the day. :D
That SimsMX mod I have is the updated one by kidhedra. Forgot I had it but I agree, it seems to be the most likely culprit. Thanks! :-)

@Chain: No, I haven't done either of those things so I'm thinking the same as igazor. I'll try taking that SimsMX mod out and see what happens. Thank you! :-)

After taking out the SimsMX/kidhedra mod, I played the game for 24 sim-hours with no more errors. Thanks again igazor & Chain! :-)
