SP Setup

Post by ani_dw » June 23rd, 2013, 2:48 pm

Hi,
I have a question about how to set up SP so when service NPC's are created, they wouldn't be default pudding.

I have "Facial Blend Mutation" set up in lot and sim options, and it works partially. Some sims are different looking (like paparazzi), but at least so far all service npc's are pudding, like the mailman, repairman, the SHT entertainers.

Is it possible to make them also none-pudding?

use the "replace service sims with immigrants" setting.

That's already true, otherwise all the options under Sim -> Immigration/Emigration wouldn't be visible.

Did you adjust the "Chance of Random Offspring" setting to "0" ? Random genetics are EA Standard pudding faces essentially.

Increase "Chance of Bin Offspring" to use your Library families for genetics.

If the mod has already altered your service sims, it will probably not do so again. Just delete the existing service/role population to have it reprocess under any new settings.

I changed "Chance of Random Offspring" setting to "0" in general options -> sim and lot. Didn't help.

Then in the sim options I also set the "Chance of Bin Offspring" to 100 but I get an script error every time a new service sim is created error trap records an error "Nraas.StoryProgression, Script Error, ImportContent" From error log it's a NullReferenceException. Probably because it fails the import all service npc's are then created as pudding.

Is it by any chance possible to have the service sims none pudding but not use the Bin Sims? if it's not possible, then no problems, I can use this after error is resolved.

I use MC and "Total Annihilation" between tests, I also wait for the paparazzi to spawn because if they look none pudding I know I have not reseted all options back to pudding.

In the picture above "Chance of Bin Offspring" is 0 but other than that the settings were the same when the NullReferenceException error occurs.

Just to see whether it is working or not, switch the "Immigrant Occult" to "Vampire" or "Fairy", or whatever you have available.

See if all your service sims become that occult. :)

Sorry for the delayed reply. I made chance of occult to 100 and occult type to fairy. All sims created are now fairies, except one fireman who's a witch. But the pudding problem still remains. I also noticed that the consignement store lady was pudding, while the bookstore and food register sims were not.

And the sliders for your "pudding" sims are indeed "0" across the board ?
