(posting this while using the crappy IE11)

So... I have a problem with the latest Firefox, aka the 63.0.1. The main field when we write the actual message (and the BBcodes bar too) don't appear AT ALL. uBlock Origin desactivated.

Any idea ?

Am using Firefox 63 and posting this reply. Disable the new content filtering Options -> Privacy and Security

Set All Detected Trackers to Only in Private Windows
Uncheck Third Party Cookies

If that doesn't fix it, Go to Help -> Restart with add-ons disabled and see if that fixes it.

So... I found it: in the source, I've got (in Firefox) this:

It's normal if I can't see these items.

So I'm not alone. Even with all défenses desactivated, still no luck. I can see the Tools appreal very briefly and disapear. Even in IE11 the Tools don't appear normally (some items are missing).

Don't know why the forum engine masquerades the posting Tools like this (visibility: hdden) for Firefox though...

Post removed. Sorry folks, but there will be no discussions of the "benefits" of reverting Firefox to a version from that many years ago as the security risks of running such an outdated version would be tremendously high. That, and soon enough half of the web will stop working through it as no one develops web pages with browsers of that age in mind.

I haven't been on a system yet that has been updated to FF 63.0.1, although I know that 63.0 was fine. Will check it out and see if I get the issues as well.

For those who like the older versions of FF though, and who don't really care for the latest and greatest changes all that much, I'd like to throw in a recommendation for Waterfox. It's what I am using to post this right now. Waterfox is a variation of FF that keeps the older extensions structure working (so this is from FF 56, not 39) and it does get regularly occurring security updates like regular FF does I believe on the same schedule as the FF Enterprise version. Its developer is now working on how to incorporate the newer Quantum engine into the browser, again with keeping the legacy extensions structure working and without having it tend to take over all available RAM by default when the browser doesn't really need everything and the kitchen sink that is available to it to run.

Am now not seeing any changes to the site's posting interface in FF 63.0.1.

Unfortunately I can't fix what I'm not seeing. The original text area is meant to be hidden when the WYSIWYG editor replaces it. Looks like that's failing for you but not sure why it is for you and not me. Such behavior would indicate something on your Firefox that isn't on mine.
