Tuning by season...

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Tuning by season...

This is not working for me! I clicked and tried to set the pool to be off limits in any season but summer and it turned it off for all seasons. I tried this twice, I click Retuner>Settings>Winter>By Object>Pool and then set all to False, but when I went in to summer to be sure it did not affect Summer, all of summer's were also set to False! Is this something you can't actually tune by season? I tried several variations, including using fall and spring since it's almost never warm enough in those seasons to swim either, and no matter what way I tried the system made every season False.

I tried to set by season and choose "Sim" and set those to false for swim (everything but putting oneself out if on fire) and that too set it for every season! I really wish there was some way to cover the pool or whatever in the cold temps. It it so irritating to have my sims walking around outside in swim trunks when it's freezing outside. :x Even if you had a heated pool it would be terrible once you got out and your wet feet stuck to the pavement or tiles! Never mind that they rarely even change autonomously out of swimwear even after getting the cold moodlets!

I don't have an answer for the seasonal tuning issue yet as I never use those, but would it be too simple to put a gate around the pool and lock it off-season? Or would that just lead to foot-stomping tantrums due to lack of access?

Did you tune the default set called Winter?
You need to use the other one <Season>: <Start Hour> to <End Hour>
Because the Default ones:
"You are not allowed to remove the default sets (the ones without hours), so this option may not do anything when used."

I did this with my waterslides and it works. I have no houses with pools outside. I have a fitnesscenter with a pool inside, the only one in town so no problem when its cold outside.

You can change the temperature when a sim changes into outerwear via Retuner.

Igazor, I have not tried the gate option, but in some games it's not really a viable solution due to the set up of the back yard. but it would work in some. They can stomp their feet all they like! LOL.

C-Dark, I have managed to stop the water slides and things like that from being used by season through Retuner so IDK why it isn't working with pools, but for some reason the pool turns it off across all seasons. Anyway, I do like Igazor's idea of a fence instead because I too have a few indoor pools around town and I'd hate to deny my Sims there their ability to swim year around...thanks for pointing that out. :)

I do have a question though that either of you may be able to answer. If I use a seasonal lot marker on my home lot, do fences allow to be set by season or are they something that will be set as "common" regardless? I know there are a few items you cannot set by season and IDK if those are one of them. That way I can just have the fence appear in Spring-Autumn and have it be gone during summer. It will save me a bit of work.

All build mode tools are automatically applied to common I'm afraid.

That's kind of what I thought. Thanks Chain. No biggie though, it's not really that much work to delete a fence. I see it like covering the pool each season. :)
