Enable use of the object for different age category

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Enable use of the object for different age category

Post by DarkPhoenixx » April 9th, 2016, 6:55 am

Hello there, i tried to use Retuner to enable an interaction on the object to be available to teens, but it does not seems to work. On the other hand, when i removed Adult from the interaction, it works, and prevents adults from using an interaction.
Is there some additional tweaking i must do?

Hi there. It sounds like you are doing this right, but it does depend on the interactions in question. There are some that appear to be able to be unlocked for certain age groups in Retuner, but the game is hard coded to prevent such unlocking and will disallow certain settings. Some of them require scripting to get around, the classic case being allowing teen pregnancy. Teens and younger cannot gamble (oh, the horrors a child card shark or teen slot machine addict would present) no matter what we do. Others will unlock and work, but the animations will be off such as allowing children to garden or do laundry.

Can you give us some examples of interactions that are not honoring your settings changes?

Oh, I hadn't expected that one. It would be up to the developer to have allowed such tuning, either by tuning file or Retuner, and I believe Cmomoney chose not to do so on that one.

I tried both, but that did not work. Oh well.

Ugh, had to decompile the the .dll to replace check on YoungAdultorAbove to TeenorAbove. Well, that is half a day wasted.
