Question About Exporting Settings for Retuner

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Question About Exporting Settings for Retuner

Post by Sonshine » August 1st, 2018, 11:37 am

Hi, I'm trying to export my settings and so far MC was no problem, but for Retuner, I got the msg "Tuning has been exported to a script log normally located in your 'My Documents Sims 3' folder."
I looked in my sims 3 folder, but don't find any script log there. There is only a scriptcache file and nothing else. Where do I find this file?

The game clock probably has to run for a while before the script log shows up. But just to confirm here, that kind of export produces an XML file, not a Library file for importing into another game save like MC and the other mods do. If you trying to preserve settings for importing directly into the game, the mod to use for that is Overwatch.

NRaas > Overwatch > Immediate > Export (Import) Settings > (choose which mods to export/import)

Thank Igazor! Will that export/import my Retuner settings as well?

Yes, in fact that is the only way I know of to export and import Retuner settings. The export function you found within Retuner itself, when it's working properly, is to help with creating tuning files. Not a set that can then be imported.
