Retuner Settings

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Retuner Settings

Post by Sonshine » January 27th, 2018, 1:54 am

Hi, I'm trying to allow my sim kids to garden. I looked it up and found this:

Allow children to do Gardening
anchor: NRaas/Members' Retuner Settings
General > By Object > GardeningMetaObject > Go to Garden
Allow Age Species > HumanChild > True

I made these changes, but my sim kids still cannot garden. Is there another setting somewhere? Also, I am still getting the "unfinished room" buff when they're in my own homemade greenhouse. I removed the buff (k percent missing for buff) by setting the value to 0, but am still getting it.

Have you saved and reloaded your game since making these changes? Quite often Retuner requires that for the new settings to take hold.

On children gardening though, I would recommend the Children Can... mod since it includes proper animations for these activities. If a sim is made to do something for which no animations exists for their age stage, they will stretch out and distort while doing so.

I have also followed the instructions that Sonshine mentioned and my kids still can't garden either. and have saved and reloaded for other reasons many times. I will try this again. I don't know why EA didn't think children shouldn't be able to even do the watering. it was the job my mother gave me most when I was little.

That "Unfinished Room" buff is annoying. I haven't tried the adjustment in Returner but will give that a try. What I have done is to use Master Controller (Cheats Module required) to remove them. I have just used Cntl and click on the moodlet in the Mood Meter to remove it but it will reappear. I've just lately tried removing using MC. Click on Sim>Intermediate>Moodlets to remove. MC can also be used to remove the moodlet for the whole town. I'll try that next. However, I'm not certain that removes it permanently. Perhaps someone in here can answer that for us.

Nona Mena has a tuning mod to remove the Unfinished Room moodlet at Simlogical:
http://www.simlogical.com/ContentUpload ... oads/1663/

She changes kPercentMissingForBuff to 99 ("Percentage of a room that needs to have missing wall and floor covering to trigger the 'unfinished room' buff"). I think that's worked for me in Retuner in the past, but I no longer bother with changing it anymore.

I use the mod igazor mentions to allow children to garden.

Not sure who put that setting on the returner page but it has nothing to do with enabling children to garden.

I didn't really understand what that Retuner setting had to do with actually gardening myself, but figured someone knew something I didn't. The entry is gone now.

You beat me to it igazor! I was going to delete that entry tomorrow - it's been there since the page was first created. When I updated the layout, I also assumed whoever put it there must have tested it beforehand but maybe they didn't. :-)

@Sarah - Oh, I'm sorry! Does this mean you now don't have enough to do tomorrow? Somehow I doubt this but I can put it back if you want.(just kidding, of course...)
