Retuner Newbie has questions

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

There are 2 ways to export your Retuner changes. Igazor and brabbl appear to referring to the Overwatch method. You can use OW to export settings in any NRaas mod (or all of them) which creates a library file. (The library file will show up in your Edit Town Household bin.) To import the settings use Overwatch and select the file and mod. You'll have to save and reload the game for the import of Retuner settings to take effect. If you go this route be sure to name the file descriptively. Also, see this link:

<a href="http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Retuner%20F ... ettings</a>

The other method is to create a Retuner Tuning package file which holds all your changes. It sounds like you were referring to this method when you mention exporting your settings. To do it this way you use Retuner's Export command which will create a script error with your Retuner settings. Next you need to download the Retuner Tuning package file here:

<a href="http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Retuner+Pha ... +Tuning</a>

That one is essentially blank. Open it in S3PE, then view the one resource there with Notepad++. Open your script error file with your Retuner settings and .... it's been a while since I've done this but I think you just copy all the text in the script error file you generated and paste it OVER everything in the blank Retuner tuning package file. (Or delete the contents of in the blank package file and replace with the contents of the script error.) Once done, save the package file, and place in your Mods\Packages folder. (If you don't do it correctly you'll get some script error message about it when starting a game. Been there :P .) With a customized Retuner Tuning package file installed new games should automatically load up with your changes. I think Retuner\Total Reset (to mod defaults) will read from this file (and set everything else back to defaults). I don't know if you need to save and reload after doing a Total Reset.

You seem to have confused the methods with each other a little bit. :)

TreyNutz, you read my mind again. That's exactly what I did, confused the methods. I used Retuner's own export function and then tried to import it using Overwatch. What you wrote was so clear and concise I grasped it immediately and saw where I went wrong. Thank you! I'm going to try again using Overwatch to export and then import.

brappl, I did indeed see the information you linked to but I'm afraid it just confused me. So then I googled more for clarification and got even more confused. :facepalm:

Igazor, I don't remember precisely what I read that made me think I had to do it the way I did. Goodness only knows.

Thank all of you for your help, I truly am trying to figure this out for myself, I promise! I'm just not very good at it, apparently.
