Can retuner stop pie covered faces?

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Can retuner stop pie covered faces?

Post by budewarmin » August 4th, 2016, 10:43 am

My question is if retuner mod, or any other mod of your knowledge, can stop pie residue after the pie eating contest? My own sims can be cleaned easily, but inactive sims walk with filthy faces for days if not forever(I actually haven't confirmed how long it takes for pie residue to come off inactive sims if at all)
I wouldn't care so much if not so much sims were wearing eye contacts in my town, and when the pie residue is there they lose them, my own sims after a bath regains his contacts, but I'm scared for the well being of my other sims..

Hi budewarmin .
I'm not sure on setting in Retuner but you can "hide" and untick them for random use by the game using Kuree's EasyCASP Editor.
Since I have hidden that in CAS and do not allow for random I haven't noticed any inactives running around with dirty faces. Perhaps someone else in here will offer up other alternatives.

They still have it all over their faces after eating pie in pie contest :/
Resetsim seems to help clean them just as edit is CAS through MC, but I still wish there was a way to prevent it..

You might need to save as and reload the game before you notice a change.

I deselected all checks except hidden in cas, the package is in mods and the settings it displays are:
Unknown1: uuMakeupEP08PieFace
SortPriority: 0.0000
Unknown2: 0x00
Clothing: 0x00000015 (Makeup)
DataType: 0x00000004 (FaceOverlay)
AgeGender: { Age: 0x00 (0); Species: 0x01 (Human); Gender: 0x00 (0); Handedness: 0x00 (0) }
ClothingCategory: 0x01000000 (IsHiddenInCAS)
All cache is cleared and the world I loaded is builders island. I did save as, and send some clones to test it out.
And they still love their pie mask :(

I don't know why it doesn't work..

Ok, sorry but where you are referring to packages in mods I'm not understanding where you are looking. Those pie faces in Seasons EP show up and can be edited in EasyCASP. Package files can not be found in EasyCASP.
There is another workaround. I have the complete EP8 Seasons CAS items hidden using Master Controller. I lost some outerwear doing that but those were easily replaced with CC.

With the package I meant the package EASYCASP made in C:\Users\Cassie\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages after I was done editing. I opened the package with s3pe after it didn't work the first time to check inside and those lines about uuMakeupEP08PieFace are the settings the package displays and while correct it just won't work in my game. I just find it so weird that it works for you, but not for me. I must be doing something wrong.

I see now. Thanks and it is probably nothing you are doing wrong budewarmin. Sometimes editing results work for some and not others because we all, in many cases, use different settings.

Maybe just hiding the entire EP in CAS as I mentioned above is a good option for you?
