Script error - possible mod conflict?

Post by springacres » January 12th, 2016, 7:01 pm

I keep getting Script Errors thrown by Register. I am currently also running KinkyWorld, and the errors keep cropping up when my active sim tries to solicit a customer.

I did notice, while I was checking this site, that several of my other mods were out of date and that I was missing the StoryProgression Skills module. I downloaded and installed the relevant files, but I'm not sure what if anything these would have to do with the errors Register was spitting at me.

A possibly related issue is that I have 23 Hour Clubs installed and this error cropped up on a club lot at an hour when the unmodded club would be closed; is it possible this is a tuning issue?

Sorry if this sounds dense, but I'm a little confused as to who the Role Sim is when an active (who is also in some other career) is soliciting.

Generally speaking, we cannot support the Kinky mod here and unfortunately I can't even say if it's intended to or can work alongside Register or if they are both going to fight each other for role management. Have you tried asking for guidance on the site where it is hosted?

I will leave this thread in place for now though, in case a colleague or someone else here recognizes this particular error as being more associated with the venue hours tuning as you said rather than fights over which mod gets to control the Role Sims generally. But unfortunately I'm not confident we are going to be able to assist with that combination.

Good question. I haven't, but only because it was Register throwing the errors and I was hoping someone here could help. I got similar errors in this play session during what should have been "normal" venue errors, so it looks like it's not a tuning issue after all. I'll go see if someone on the site with KinkyMod can help.

Also, I'm not sure who the Role Sim would be either.

There's 2 errors going on there. The first one could be being caused by an improperly coded Role/Venue tuning mod (including the club one) or is a product of the second. The second is a conflict between another mod that is adding or deleting a role as Register is trying to simulate them. Such error is breaking simulation of all your roles so you'll have to decide if you want it or Register.

Checked on the KW site and others were also having problems using Register alongside it. I'm told the next public release of KW should fix the issues, so I removed Register for now and will reinstall it once the new version of KW becomes publicly available. (I suspect this should fix both errors, since I wasn't getting any before I updated to the most recent public version of KW.)
