Great - Make sure to look for the mods in game via City Hall or an ingame computer as I mentioned above.

I thought it was the one downloaded from here but it may have been the one from modthesims

Uh oh, I added in cc and other mods (cmar's penis ones for example) and now my game is crashing after using the launcher

Okay, I removed cc (objects/hair/outfits) and left just the mods and they all work so it must be something else

I do have some of aminova's enviromental tweaks, iirc there is a specific file that should be in the ovverrides folder

Where everything works fine with your mods you might want to focus on the custom content you recently installed. Try removing aminova's tweaks first, clear caches and see if your game crashes. If not start adding mods back a few at a time, clear script cache load the game and see if it crashes.

Just a couple of tips in case you are not familiar with these applications:
For any 3packs you install: have you tried using Custard to check files. Note: this application is not meant to check lots or worlds.

Package files can be checked using Delphys Dashboard Only use that to check files in your Mods/Packages folder. I suggest you take a look at Nona Mena's Understanding Mod Conflicts with Delphy's Dashboard. Click on the link
[[ http://www.simlogical.com/ContentUpload ... 51/|On This Page]] that in next to *** Read the whole of this tutorial in.. and it will bring up a PDF document with instructions and best of all illustrations :)

If those are the ones for the sky and moons you can only use one at a time as those are default replacements.
Same thing for the plant recolors you can only use one plant recoloring mod at a time.
With the exception of the non-defaults and the one for the Midnight plants (as that one only affects the plants in Midnight Hollow).

The Resource.cfg linked previously is no longer accessible; is there another alternative link to acquire another resource file?

The_LongestTime - The standalone Resource.cfg file that we provide is available here. The link you found in this older message thread doesn't work because we have since moved to this, our new website, and many such internal links within older posts became broken.

But note that it is exactly the same Resource.cfg file that is included within the downloadable Framework that ModTheSims provides along with its illustrated instructions here:

Install Trouble - Mods not Registering at all

Post by smari » February 25th, 2021, 8:39 pm

hi, i dont know what i'm doing wrong and im hoping someone can help me. a while ago i had multiple nraas mods downloaded and they worked fine. but ive been back into playing sims 3 (along with 4) because i just missed open world lol.. anyway for a while my mods havent been working. i reinstalled 3 times, watched multiple videos on youtube to confirm i was correctly installing (and i did correctly) but my mods will not show up in game. Help :(
i'll provide screen shots below of what my folder looks like and maybe itll help (i also deleted all the caches and replaced the resource.cfg file and restarted and that didnt work)
now i do have some files in there from a few years ago and idk if that is an issue or not but i never removed them before and it worked fine
and another note, my deviceconfig file checks out to be fine, it logs the exact time i entered sims 3. i DO have another deviceconfig file but its in my sims medieval file, which is separate from sims 3. (electronic arts/the sims 3 and then electronic arts/the sims medieval, and theyre both in different paths because theyre different games) i dont think that one is an issue but i see that someone asked about it in another forum so i figured i would put it in here so there's more info..
sorry if this is a lot haha, i'm just trying to give as much information of my game and what i've tried to do to fic the issue
