Too Many Homeless Sims

Role Sims, homeless, service Sims, oh my. Something tells me we're not in Sunset Valley anymore.

Yup meant OW, sorry. I was fiddling with something in MC while typing and well.. :p

I havent tried the new Register yet; I avoid Betas as a rule. I run a large number of mods, and I am still working out some kinks with my game, plus designing new lots, etc. (you know, doing the Sims thing :) ). I dont want to add another unknown into the mix while doing all that. Plus, now that I know the cause, it is easy to work around it until Regv81 is known to work on its own.

I appreciate the fact that the folks around here work so hard at the constant updates; I just am not your guy right now to be a tester.

There isn't much risk involved in this particular case. Register v81 was produced by the same person who produced v80 and the only difference is that v81 fixes two bugs and makes one change to an obscure service default setting when switching into a new world.

But, as you wish.

I'm going to go back to version 79. I never had those issues when I used it. But when I installed version 81, I started having other issues, similar to what I've gotten in the past with bad CC.

I've not had issues with homeless NPC's for a while though I do have issues with roles getting filled automatically when I don't want all role objects getting sims assigned.I hate it when every role gets filled automatically in a brand new game when I wish I could have a tuning that stopped the role objects from getting sims assigned automatically while keeping manual assignments enabled for if you've got Ambitions installed and wish to remove automated role assignments.

Huh. Why is 81 still in Beta? I've been using it for a long time.

@Echo - Can't be that long, it was only released to Beta Testing in December. That's not very long for an NRaas mod, some of them have taken years. But I bet Chain is waiting for more feedback (like this thread) or possibly has other things up his sleeve he may want to add to it before its full release.

@igazor I hope he doesn't take what I posted as my reason for choosing to use version 79 instead as definite feedback for version 81. There are too many variables for me to conclude that it was actually Register that caused any of the issues. My laptop isn't really up to handling the game well, and I actually kept Generations installed when I installed Ambitions, instead of uninstalling it. It could just be more than it could handle.

@Calista -- Chain will probably be glad that you clarified...you know what, we should let him speak for himself. He's a reasonably eloquent fellow. :)
