Does Register control Resorts?
My sims wanted to check in to a resort, but the interaction just hung up.
Hi GCirelli .. The number and type of Resort Workers are controlled in Register but could you give a little more detail re the interaction being hung up. Do you mean it disappears from the queue when you initiate going to the Resort Lot? If that is the case have you tried resetting the lot or town. Could be a routing problem. Or try placing the resort elsewhere in town.

A number of players have reported issues with the sim assigned to do check-in. While Register may control who they are, I think it's the game itself that sends one over to be on duty. Are you getting the "no one is on-duty" message when you try to check in or does nothing seem to happen? Sometimes I've found that it takes a very long time for an off-duty sim to arrive there and staff the desk when one is needed, but they usually do (in my limited experience with resorts) hang around once they finally show up.
I put the Redwood Hilltop in from http://www.mysimrealty.com/Sims3_Commun ... adise.html in Hidden Springs.

Well, obviously 5 hours is too long. I probably would have figured who the possible desk attendants are supposed to be if possible and MC reset them, then returned a bit later to see if anyone shows up. Or maybe use MC > Focus on them to see if they are stuck en route someplace. Another thing to check is their age -- role sims who should be aging up need to go off the map to do so, but often they get stuck on the map being pulled into work and off to age at the same time, with the result that they can do neither and their station remains unstaffed. Not sure if this can affect the check-in desk as I've seen it does sometimes with bars and cash registers, but seems like a possibility worth checking on.

I'll have to loadup a save from my sims' time in a world with resorts and see what kind of classification the check-in counter sim has. I know the same one was there the entire time because one of my sims became friends with him. This may take a short while, so I'll check back first to see if anyone who knows for sure has reported in.
Hi GCirelli.. I have tried to recreate your situation with no luck. This time I tried it in a new small test completely empty world except for 1 resident. I have not imported my Mod settings so am working with the basic mods. I put in the Royal Resort and clicked on the front desk to have my sim check in and right after that all the workers along with some tourists showed up and my sim checked in. In MC the Household Status of the guy at the front desk is "Arnette" and they are homeless sims. Under his Status for Personal the front desk guy type is: Resort Worker.
I don't know what to suggest other than perhaps try another Resort or have a sim in another household become a resort owner?? I've never experienced problems when I've assigned inactive households as Resort Owners. The Service is lousy but they can check in.
