Register Mod and Resorts

Role Sims, homeless, service Sims, oh my. Something tells me we're not in Sunset Valley anymore.

Register Mod and Resorts

Post by Hillybeth » May 24th, 2016, 3:22 pm

One thing that I don't like about playing in a world with resorts- while using NRAAS Mods- is that the Register Mod doesn't automatically assign front desk workers, unless the resort is player-owned. Is there a way to fix that to make it happen?

It's my understanding that EA set up the resort service people as part of the service population and not "role" Sims that are attached to objects. This was a problem with how EA set up resorts.

Actually its the Resort Tower who pops out Service Sims to man the objects on Resorts.

A little while ago I tested a resort that wasn't owned at all (belonged to the city), albeit it was on the world IP, which was basically set up as it should and desk workers came out of the Towers to man the front desk. After having checked in, the resort came to live with other type of Service Sim and also other guests.

Mind you I have about 90% of the mods from here, including Register, so I am not so sure where you got that information from. But front desk workers will pop up once you are on that lot to check in coming from the towers. If you are expecting it to be manned 24/7, that's not how a Resort works.

That's been my experience also J4Ks, eventually the service people will come around and stay there until my Sim leaves. Sometimes I have to click on the desk numerous times and stand there until the service people "wake up" but only after just arriving.

So true Syd, the first front desk workers that comes out seems to get routing failure issues when coming from the tower, when you check in the first time. You see them standing there with the routing failure bubble on their head, as if they can't stand in position, but after cancelling and clicking the "Check In" again the next one will stand correctly.
It also helps once you arrive, to clear all other guests near the front desk that flock to the resort since your active is there by resetting them (reset Sim) or command them to Go Home with MC.

No service workers ever popped up for me, until I had my sim in IP purchase the only free Resort. She owns it.

As far as I've seen and checked, the game only bothers to spawn resort workers on resort lots if the active household owns the resort or is checked in for the day, just as you've observed. Pretty disappointing to players that like to watch lots in function even without active sims on the lot
