Links to pics hosted on a third party site like Flickr, as J4Ks said. There is a way to embed them as links, but that's not important we just want to see them once not appreciate them as artwork.
The sim unable to go to work might have a corrupt career outfit.
Unless I missed it, one thing you haven't tried yet is pulling your entire game folder out of Documents to the desktop for safekeeping (it can be put back later), letting the game thus generate a new clean folder, and redoing the Framework on the clean folder to see how a couple of mods behave on their own in there.
NRAAS Mods Are Crashing the Game
Ok, that didn't go so good. Let's try t his again. You can delete the post just above this one b/c the links are bad. Here are the good links: The first one is the actual error msg when the family was just about to load, the second one the contents of my packages folder at that time, and the third is the msg I got when I tried renaming the folder.

Okay, that doesn't mean the contents of your Mods folder are at fault. It means that your game is failing upon trying to read it. The most common causes of "A serious error has occurred..." are
-- Your hard drive is full or doesn't have enough free space for the game to function.
-- Your game folder or one of its subfolders is open in Windows Explorer when you tried to launch and it is locking up some of its contents. Windows doesn't like it when you start the game this way.
-- You don't have sufficient rights to your own Documents folder. This is an operating system issue.

Are you clearing your cache files before loading every time the contents of Mods/Packages changes? Can you get to the game selection screen and start up a new game instead of an ongoing save or is it getting stuck before you get to that point?
If those don't help, pull your TS3 game folder out of Documents to your Desktop and see if you can get a new test game going on the clean game folder that will be generated in its place.
