Script Error

Post by littlelambsy » March 4th, 2016, 1:19 am

I just uploaded some script errors. My sim was being glitchy - what's her problem?

There are 2 situations that requires your attention (stop, focus and read on, don't shy away :P):

1. As to Mags Newbie; Did you recently installed a Traits _XML Tuning mod that should alter the decay of traits, the only traits that should decay are the University Traits (Jock, Rebel, Nerd), search in that area. That Tuning mod might be pre ITF and can well be outdated. Remove it.

2. Unsure what you were trying to do within Edit Town, but Mover reports that you were trying to Switch to an invalid household which generated those Mover Errors.

Helpful?

The mover errors are very odd and indicate the UI was in some very busted state. The MC errors are from an outdated tuning mod as J4Ks said.

Thanks guys for looking at this.
First, I have not installed a trait decay mod just but did alter Retuner to add more traits. However, its interesting that you mention the hidden traits(from uni), because when I set up a caste for my rotations, one of the things I set was to disallow certain traits, one was the hidden salute trait. I don't like that one so I chose it among the disallow - but that was for all sims not just one.

Second, Mags had a trait I didn't want so I used MC>Advanced>Traits>Change. When I changed one trait for another she went south on me and I had to reset her. The trait wouldn't change until I changed and reset her 3 times.

Third, switching to an invalid household??? I am still setting up the families I want to play in rotation. I've set up 2 and am working on the 3rd (Mags Newbie). The only houses I've switched to is the ones already occupied and the ones I plan to play. So I don't understand that problem.

I don't think the household was invalid, just that the UI lost it's marbles. See if it continues. The trait errors could be from any trait related mod you have. It could have been installed a while and not causing problems until you provoked it with MC.

^- could it be a SN trait she's trying to switch to without having the EP? Last time it gave another member problems, can't remember which EP though.

I just looked through all my mods and don't have any trait related mods. The only trait I tried to change was from Lucky to Neat. I'll see what happens later today when I open the game. Thanks :)

BTW, J4Ks... thanks for scaring the life out of me, telling me to "focus" and not to "run away", I though you was going to have me play with some convoluted code all before me cupa tea LOL
