My teens won't age

Post by mairesims » October 13th, 2019, 6:16 pm

Hey so I'm really desperate right now, which is why I signed up here. I hope someone's able to help me.
So I've never used a forum before, so I'm sorry if I'm doing anything wrong with opening a new topic or whatever.

Anyways, lately I've been experiencing some problems with my game, some are small and I could live with them, but there's one huge issue that just completely ruins the game for me.
I've been playing the same two Sims for the past 4 years. I'm using many nraas mods (story progression, master controller, debug enabler, overwatch,...) and also I'm using a lot of cc. Like anything, but I've been checking them with delphys dashboard and they're fine.
I'm rather thinking that my Sims got corrupted over the years, because I've been starting new games, in new towns often.

It all started a few weeks ago, my Sims were in the future, and my female Sim, Lysithea started to be buggy. Like when I clicked on her the game needed like 5 or more seconds to even react and change to her. That got on my nerves so much that I kicked all of my cc and mods out, downloaded new stuff and started a new game.

Right now I'm playing in Roaring heights and I have so much trouble with their kids.
They currently have 2 teenage daughters, Camille and Noelle. So I've decided after playing without aging further than young adult, that I want to play a generation household again. So I turned aging on again. Everything works fine, besides the fact that my two teenage daughters cannot age. Every other Sims ages, but they won't. No matter what I do, using testingcheats won't work, the cake won't work and the Mc won't work either.
So I read the debug enabler might be able to fix my problem, I downloaded it and it worked for one of the daughters, Noelle.
Camille still won't age. Then I got a script error and suddenly she was a completely different Sim. Like not just clothes and hair but also her entire face and body. She looked like the standard ea Sim.
Well then I destroyed her with the mc (I made multiple save datas).
Also with the mc I made my Sims have another baby, aged her up to a teenager and the same thing happens. Even that kid won't age.

So I really don't know what to do anymore. I'm hoping for a solution that doesn't involve taking all my cc out, that would be the last option for me. So please, if anyone has any other ideas of what the problem could be, please let me know.
I personally think my main Sims are just so corrupted now after playing them for 4 years and that they basically ruin my entire household. :/

Greetings and sorry if I made any grammatical errors, English is not my native language.

If they're becoming different Sims with DebugEnabler it means their outfits are corrupt. If it keeps happening, you likely have CC that is causing it. So I'm afraid the recommended solution would be to pull your CC and other mods besides those here and see if the issue resolves.

Hey thanks for your quick reply chain reaction. :)
Do you think the bad cc would also cause the not aging up part? Because I just find it weird that even the new created baby didn't age when she reached being a teenager.
I will try and remove the teen cc I downloaded a few days ago and see if it works then tomorrow!
I will keep you updated.

I will add to the above if I may that Delphy's Dashboard is great, but it's not a miracle tool that should be relied upon exclusively to conclude that package based CC is fine to use. It can catch false positives and it can miss other things that are not okay. Will also point out to the OP that their English is fine. :)

But yes, sims refusing to age up by any means, ranging from in-game birthday cakes to mods being used to attempt a forced age-up, usually but not always suggest "bad" CC or corrupt clothing or other CAS part assignments (accessories, makeup, etc.) on the sims so affected. The DE sim transformation effect does seem to add more likelihood to that conclusion.

Thanks to you also igazor!
First thing I'll do tomorrow then is removing the last cc I downloaded, and if that still doesn't work I'll take the other ones out too until I find the bad one. I hope it won't take too long to find it.

Thank you so much I'm so glad you two suggested what to do. I was afraid of having to give up their parents. :(
