Strange issue with high school kids

Post by JohnL83 » October 10th, 2019, 10:02 am

I'm getting two thingy's for my high school kids when they go to school. I'm not sure what they are supposed to be called, but it's the thing that appears for choosing what they do there, like chat with friends, work hard..etc. And yes, it's only for my HS students. This has happened before, but it wasn't all the time. Now it's in nearly all my games and happens every day they head to school. It's not a huge deal, I just delete one of them each time, but it does get annoying and I'd like to know if anyone can tell me why this happens? I do not have more than one school in my towns. (I was never able to get multiple schools to work properly so I just went with the one school and the multiple entrances mod. It gets them all in the building by 9:30 so who cares...) I also do not have private schools or anything like that. It's all just pretty much EA standard for my school-age Sims, they take the bus each time, blah blah. I do have a lot of teens who drive, but I still have them take buses to school and I thought that perhaps that was why, but it happens whether or not my teens have a DL. Any ideas?

Strange issue with high school kids

I cannot help answer your question, but I frequently get the two tasks listed in their queue to go to school, as if I had selected "go to school" twice, even when I had not even manually told them to go even once. I want to say I've also had it for the children, but I definitely know I get it for the high school aged kids.

It's not harmful, just distracting really, but it does mean that between the game itself and probably SP these sims are being pushed to go to school twice for some unknown reason. Being pushed twice I mean, not trying to sit through a school day twice. The second redundant item in the action queue if left alone would eventually evaporate because it would no longer be relevant sometime in between when they make it inside and the end of the school day.

it shouldn't have anything to do with the presence or lack of multiple or custom schools, sims can only be registered at one school at a time. They cannot be pushed to attend a school for which they are not registered, that would be like any other sim being pushed to go to a job that they do not have.

I am not 100% sure it doesn't happen with children either, but it doesn't seem that it does. It's hilarious that I can't remember for sure, but it's every time for teens so I suppose that's why it sticks in my brain. Apparently there's nothing to do and at least it's not harming anything.

Thanks Igazor, I figured all is okay, but with everything else running smoothly it sticks out and I was curious if there was an easy fix. :)
