To those just tuning in, I'm new to ITF and today I started playing an older game. I don't really plan on this being a thing for this game and will save the old game and delete the time portal and weather stone later, but just for fun I sent my sim 'John Lloyd' into the future. When I got there it said "Lloyd" had two homes with decedents. But when I hovered my mouse of them one said "Anderson descendants" and the other said "Archer descendants". these are both families I have in the home town, I figured fine, so my Sims kids married and took the other name. But when I went to meet them they all had the last name of Lloyd and no one in either home was Archer or Anderson. Is this a glitch or is the the way that am I just being told what family my Sims kids married in the future? And if so, then why are none of the using the other family names?

I've played ITF quite often, in fact, it was one of my favorite EPs. I never did understand the Descendants thingy. I had the same problem so I used it to predestine my sims and had them marry those with the names of the descendant but the next time they went into the future, it had all changed and still didn't make sense! LOL. One tip, don't move in with a descendant household it will blow up your game. As usual, bin there done that LOL I ended up with about 6 plumbots, a madhouse full of kids and pets, parents, uncles,aunts, nephews and grandparents all belonging to my household. When I tried to leave the insanity and go home I couldn't get home. Had to restart an earlier save.

I don't like Oasis Landing so I never go there... I just wait for my Sims to invent the Into the Future Items in my game so my town progresses into the future on its own.

Thanks Kitty, that was one of my most favorite games/stories. You just can't help lovin' Barney Beake and his (my) obsession with Star Trek.
