Is it possible to slow down muscle gain?

Post by notanecrophiliac » September 23rd, 2019, 4:33 am

So in my town I have a couple of sims (both teens and adults) who basically live in the gym... they're always there working out. While I approve their love for exercising, one thing that has always annoyed me is how buff they get. Especially the teenagers, they're absolutely ripped. It looks really weird so I always have to go through either Master Controller or CAS to lower their muscle definition. But I don't like doing it repeatedly, it's too much of a chore :( So I wonder if there is a way I can slow down muscle gain to prevent this?

I'd like to know this too and if it can be done in Retuner. I know that Shimrod101 made a "No muscle gain" mod, but I too just want to slow the gain down (and the site simsasylum.com, where that mod is found, is down for some reason).

I assume the Asylum being down is only temporary. I've tried Shimrod's mod myself, with the intent of editing it or emulating it in Retuner with different values so as to throttle fitness gain, not prevent it completely as he arranges things. Never did get anywhere with this, the values he edits are so strangely defined that I ended up guessing on some of them all over the place with no results in between what the game does and fitness gains so low for exercising that they were essentially negligible. I eventually gave up and removed the mod, choosing instead to MC Cheats the extreme fitness gains back down to more reasonable values whenever I saw sims looking far too pumped/worked out to be realistic. Perhaps others here have had better success with more of an in between strategy.

Edit: The Sims Asylum is back up again.

Aw, that's too bad. Not that Sims Asylum is back up, but that it didn't seem to be possible to do in Retuner. Oh well.

I posted about a mod idea two or three years ago and you NRaas guys didn't think it was possible, but I think it is. Hm, maybe I should post my idea in a thread later. It's not related to muscles, though.
