I placed a lot of paintings my sims did in the Art Gallery of my town. I also recognized that since then more sims visit the museum of art.
Now I wanted to save the gallery to library, but all my sims paintings went to my family inventory.
Is there a way or is it not possible?
That would be sad.

I don't think it's possible from what I know. Anytime you edit a community lot it will put draggable objects back in your inventory. My sims always get old dishes in their family inventory. I usually have a sim own the lot and that way I'm able to put sculptures they have crafted and bought in the gallery too and paintings don't get sent back to your inventory if the active owner edits the lot.

Thanks, but if you own the lot, can you save the lot with sculptures etc to library to place it in another world?

The sculptures may stay, but I think the paintings will always be reset. I haven't tried so I can't be 100% sure.

Wall \ DebugEnabler \ Set Lot Owner: Null should fix the issue.

Thanks Chain_Reaction, your tip at least helped me for another thing, but with the art gallery sadly not.
LBillusion has right I think, the paintings are not made to save them with another lot. I tried it, made me the owner, placed the paintings and then clicked the wall to use the DE option, then saved it in town build mode. I tested the save in another world and no paintings were there.
The only thing which is fixed - the paintings are not moved to my family inventory

Really? Apologies, I was pretty sure that would work. I guess EA doesn't export those. At least they're not tossed in your family inventory though. That gets really annoying anytime you edit a community lot. I think that's what's causing the complaint of full family inventories I've seen around here.

Make art galery a normal recidential lot in edit town. Move your sim in with the paintings in their inventory. Put paintings on wall and then move your sim back to their original lot. Make the residential galery a community galery again. All paintings should still hang tbere.

hm, it us no problem to place the paintings of my sim in current world, but to keep them when saving this gallery lot to library. Do mean this will work?
