Advanced Genetics turning my sims pink?

Post by luna_cat » August 25th, 2019, 9:02 am

Hi all,

I’ve just recently installed the SP Population mod and turned on advance genetics, genetic skin blending, inherit grandparents genetics, etc. However, I’ve now noticed that a bunch of random sims in my town have turned bright pink/red! How has that happened and can I fix it so there’s no more pink sims in the future?

thanks!

I'm going to guess that you have a skin, whether it be EA's or custom, where the shading is more of a multi-color selection slider and these sims are picking up more extreme settings on that skin slider than expected. Instead of ending up with lighter or darker shades, they are appearing to change skin color but still within the same skin slider.

Are you in Dragon Valley? Do you have sims in the Library Sim Bin that are either from Dragon Valley or have the more colorful skins tones and are you letting SP Immigration use sims from the Bin?
I've seen this before and it tends to be one of those things.
