Micromanaging: Sim Spawn point on basecamp lot?

The only mod stopping your Sims from traveling to the abyss. Did you end up there anyway? We'll try to help.

So I'm that person who likes to obsessively plan and micromanage every aspect of my sim projects. Sorry, not sorry.

Anyway, I'm building a hybrid travel / homeworld based loosely on Cancun. I'm building a regional airport with some CAW deco objects and had the idea to build the airport terminal on a base camp lot, but I was wondering if it is possible to control where sims pop up?
Also, are there any restrictions on what I can / cannot put on a base camp lot? For example, will an attendant mixologist appear at a professional bar, and could I put a diner rabbit hole rug on that lot?

Sims will spawn next to the adventure board on base camp lots so you can control it with that. I believe those are considered residential lots so I don't think the game will let you place a diner rug but you can try. Buzzler has a mod that lets you place commercial items on residential lots. Maybe that will work - I've never used it. It's here: http://www.modthesims.info/d/450059 It doesn't look like Mixologist will appear at the bar. You can edit the bars XML to add them but adding hours to that lot type may make everyone have to be outside at closing time which will create problems.

Thank you for the info!! I didn't realize the adventure board was where sims spawned on Basecamp lots! That's PERFECT!!! Do you think that it would work to use the transmogrifier mod to copy the script from the adventure board to another decorative object, like a wall poster?

Ok I will test that. By the way, last night I did test whether I could put bars and coffee bars on basecamp lots and it worked fine. I even had the option to enable a 3rd shift for the professional bar so that it's open 24 hours. I ran through 2 sim days with no issues. So excited!

Wait a minute. I expected the bars to work on a Base Camp lot, but how are you arranging different shifts for the same bar? Is there a mod out there that accomplishes this and does it play well with NRaas Register? From what I have always seen, it's one NPC Role Sim sim per bar no matter what the shift behind it ends up being.

They work but are they staffed by a bartender?
