Search for unnecessary clothes

Post by figAmorti » August 22nd, 2019, 2:38 am

Good time everyone!
I noticed that a lot of material gets into the game by accident. And a lot of it is very poor quality or looks terrible.
In CAS, these things are visible and you can even define their instances by pressing Ctrl+L mouse. For example, instance 0x36CDE4DE1F35A317. And how to be further where to find a package containing it?
Is there a ready mod that can do it? Poke where download.pls! I suspect that doesn't exist.

I tried to write a program in MS Access that reads packages as binary files and looks for a suitable set of bytes.
But it works very long because of the large number of packages. And the result is not always correct.

If it is read by one of the developers, give pls an idea of the code how to do it better!
Thanks

Thanks, I'll try.
Will this work if the clothing object was installed through a launcher from sims3pack?

No, unfortunately, it won't I'm afraid. It will only work with package files, as stated in the guide. :-)

I sometimes used TSR Merlin, here is a Manual Link https://www.thesimsresource.com/content ... n%20Manual
Unfortunately they do not have the tool anymore? Maybe you need to register.

With it you can look into package and sms3packs if there is a thumb, you easy can delete move or whatever.

Difficult way you have. Can be viewed with S3PackageViewer, and delete Casp after convert sims3pack to package. I am interested in finding after installing objects in game.
