Script Error w/the Bee Boxes

Post by Sonshine » August 16th, 2019, 10:01 pm

Hi, I have one sim that I keep getting a script error on and she gets reset every time she touches the bee boxes. I tried resetting the lot and the sim herself, but I still get the error msg. I'll upload the script error.
Could somebody point me to how to upload the script error? I clicked on the upload at the top, but there was no option for me to upload my file.

Two ways:

Drag the xml file (the script log) into a response on this thread.
or
Zip, upload the file to a third party file host, and provide a link so we can get to it.

Script Error w/the Bee Boxes

Post by igazor » August 16th, 2019, 10:35 pm

I can't say why this is happening exactly, but your sim named Kristen is throwing errors when trying to spin into her special beekeeping outfit, which thus causes the entire scenario to end with a sim reset. Can you get into her Special outfits maybe, to give her a new one?

bump, How do I access the special outfits? Is it available in CAS or where? Stylist doesn't have that option.

I don't actually know myself. Can Special outfits not be reached by way of MasterController's Remove Outfit command? I would think that if an unwanted or misbehaving Special outfit is removed, then a new hopefully better working one will be spawned the next time it is required. But do this on a copy of the ongoing game if you try it (or just don't save if it makes things worse) as I'm not sure this is the recommended procedure.

In the meantime if that doesn't seem to help, perhaps you could play around it/avoid the issue until we get a better informed answer? It's not necessary to bump a post so soon here, especially one that hasn't been read by very many yet.

Script Error w/the Bee Boxes

Post by Sonshine » August 17th, 2019, 12:45 pm

I was exploring and did the "unlockoutfits on" cheat, but didn't find anything there. I also looked in hairs since the special outfit in this case seems to only be the hat and net around the head. I didn't find anything there either. I had one of the other sims in the family do some beekeeping and while she was doing it, I took her into Stylist and the special outfit choice was there. This won't work on the problem sim though b/c her special outfit is glitched. Is there another way to remove an outfit other than just changing it? Otherwise, I could try to change her career hair and maybe her career outfit (Gardener career).

I meant the MC > Sim > Basic > Remove Outfit command, not going into CAS, but I guess the Specials don't show up there. It's the category we are trying to unlock, not the hidden CAS parts.

There has to be a way to clear them out, one or both of us are missing something obvious here I am sure. I just had a sim tend bees and can now see the (beekeeping, as I just tested this out) Special outfit in DE > Outfits > Switch to Outfit, it's coded correctly for this sim and has an index number, but that still doesn't give us any way to delete it (the entire outfit) so that it no longer exists within the Special category for that sim.

I'm having a slighly premature senior moment here. Someone will I am sure come along and help us out.

Script Error w/the Bee Boxes

Post by Sonshine » August 17th, 2019, 2:35 pm

Changing her career outfit and hair did not work. I also tried removing her everyday, career, and athletic outfits which are the ones she would have on when doing the bees. Unfortunately that didn't work either. It must be something deeper than just the clothing. For some reason the sim herself is glitching when putting on the bee helmet. : / It's looking like I won't be having her do the bees. There are other members of the family who can do it.

In reply to your comment, I don't have Outfits in DE. On the sim, all I have are "move, toggle off, set hotkeys, and smart phone." On the comp I have a lot more commands, but not outfits. As I said before though, the only time the special outfit showed up was when the sim was already wearing it and that is not possible w/this sim.

Edit: I looked at DE on the City Hall options and the only command there is to "dump all CAS parts menu name."

Edit2: I found the "outfits" category under smart phone options. So far I clicked on "clean bad outfit categories (all sims)" I can't seem to attach an image here, but when I clicked on "show CAS parts, it showed a bunch of numbers none of which I know anything about.

The "Clean bad outfit categories" didn't work. :(
