Wew that title.

Anyways, I always have MasterController set to allow for more than eight sims per household. I also checked StoryProgression to make sure more than eight sims were allowed per house (I set it to 10 for now). So the deal is what's in the title: playing household with six sims and four pets (full by EA's standards but again, not of MC and SP), one sim is engaged to someone outside of the household and I want him married and outta there of course. The marriage option is there and they go through the motions but they don't get married (still fiances) and there's no moving household prompt either.

Is this a limit of the mods working within EA's engine? Funny enough I can ask the out-of-house fiancee to move in (including with her own two kids and a horse) and if that's how I have to do it then I'll do it but I wonder if there's another setting I'm missing. I put this on the MC board just because it has the setting that most directly affects your active household.

There are no real limits but MC settings in this regard only apply to MC commands, not to general gameplay. Examples would be Add Sim, Pollinate, Instant Baby. SP options pertain to what SP itself can do with households and whether/how they can hold together when not actively played. I believe the mod you might be missing there is Mover; in-game and Edit Town move/split scenarios either from or into overstuffed households cannot work without that and it sounds like the wedding scenario is getting stuck when it comes to that portion of it.


Edit: Thinking about it some more, there may be another step involved. If Mover alone is not enough to allow the wedding, during which your household will temporarily be overstuffed by EA standards, it may be necessary to either move the sim currently not part of the household in first before the wedding or else (last resort) move a couple of sims out of the household temporarily and reassemble the household after the wedding couple leaves to form their own. It can be difficult to see exactly what the wedding scenario is doing and at what point it can get stuck.

Hey Igazor. No caveat here, Mover did the trick (you can tell I've never played with it, sigh). Hopefully the edited advice can help someone else in any last-resort case.
